In the first quarter of 2024, the Australian Android market for Film & Television applications saw varying trends among the top contenders. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Disney+ kicked off the quarter with impressive revenue, reaching over $600K in the first week, but it experienced a declining trend, finishing off at nearly $476K in the last week of March. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at around 17K in early January and then settling at approximately 16K towards the end of March. Weekly active users started strong at over 600K but dipped to around 561K by the end of the quarter.

ViacomCBS Streaming's Paramount+ showcased a steadier revenue pattern, starting the quarter with $121K and closing it slightly lower at $109K. Downloads saw a sharp decline from 41K in the first week to 12K by the quarter's end. The app's weekly active users mirrored this descending trend, starting at 127K and falling to 81K.

For Crunchyroll, revenue figures were modest in comparison, starting at around $68K and showing a mix of ups and downs, eventually reaching approximately $77K. Downloads began at 5K and showed a slight increase to around 4K by March 25. The weekly active users count remained fairly stable, hovering around the mid-60Ks throughout the quarter.

ReelShort - Stream Drama & TV had a fluctuating revenue pattern, with an initial $36K that saw ups and downs, ending the quarter at about $25K. Downloads saw a significant drop from 14K in the first week to under 4K in the last. Weekly active users decreased over the period, from 52K to 43K.

Lastly, DramaBox - Stream Drama Shorts started the quarter with a revenue of nearly $12K and showed growth, peaking at $28K in mid-March before settling at around $24K. Downloads began at a modest 1.7K, peaked at over 6K in early February, and then declined to 2.4K. Active users saw a rise from 3K to over 7K in mid-March, followed by a slight decrease to 6.2K.
